The first two are legit some of the best RPGs made by Nintendo. They've basically tried something new and different from the formula in every subsequent game, and most of the new ideas and innovations have been mostly considered repetitive, annoying, or lazy.

Pretty much. I went to Tokyo last year, and as dense as it is, people still didn't interact with each other, physically or socially. And the mask usage was fairly prevalent even then (maybe 1 out of 10 or 20 people wore them).

I was mostly in agreement until that third paragraph. It is best to keep things simple for Mario games, but what kind of logic is that?

That's not even the case with some of the other ones despite the already large cast of characters. Do they just want the mainline, Nintendo EPD-developed games to have original characters now?

Some people are iffy on Paper Jam and Partners in Time, but you absolutely should play the first one. It even has a recent 3DS remake.

Yeah, realistically, if that much of a mess when he talks to girls, it's not going to go well. I've been in the same boat of having only video games and watching TV as the only things going on in my life, and dates usually don't go well when the person has no other real goals. It's also his first date, and he'll get more comfortable with practice ande experience.

Yeah, same. I'm 35, and it was my first RPG, and while it's stillbreally good and I have a ton of nostalgia, it's also one of the weakest Mario RPGs.

SMRPG was my first turn-based RPG. And I love Smash, and have put over 150 hours into Ultimate.

...but Geno does not deserve to be in Smash. He's had no appearances since then (save for a Superstar Saga cameo), isn't even the most interesting character in the game, and I honestly think the only reason people like him so much is because he has a gun-like weapon, and they thought that was cool as a child.

A Mii Fighter costume and Spirit is the best representation he should get.

They are hugely protective over their brand. And they've been taking down FFVII:R tracks since the game came out, but it's made even worse by the fact that Spotify doesn't even have the Remake OST on it yet.

The one missable thing that people ITT are talking about is a chest above a doorway in the Mushroom Kingdom Castle. You have to stand on a Toad's head to get it, but he only appears once when you first get there.

Return of the Jedi gets remembered for the high moments but literally half that movie is pretty underwhelming and kind of boring. The other half is amazing.

It's the 4th or 5th best in my ranking. The intro at Jabba's palace, and everything involving Luke, Vader, and Palpatine is stellar. All the other stuff that happens is similar to RoS: every other character had nothing interesting to do, so they just sort of came up with some filler for them.

Every subsequent re-release of FF1 is good, but the original on NES has aged like hot garbage. The difficulty imbalance requires most people to grind - like many early RPGs - but also, several spells are bugged and don't work, and the shortened names of equipment and spells is too vague. Also, if you kill an enemy, and other characters are targeting it, they just attack the empty spot instead of moving onto another target.

There's some innovative stuff in it (that's honestly done much better and more polished in Dragon Quest games), but the later remakes made so many QOL improvements.

For each individual one:

TPM: Jar Jar. I know it's a clich, but he's really annoying. The character is a technical marvel though.

AotC: It doesn't really progress much, and has too much of the senate and romance scenes. The dialogue is Lucas at his cringiest, and the entire thing is just...flat. I dunno, I don't think I can pick one overall, it's probably the worst one.

TLJ: Too "final". There are too many scenes and developments that should have been saved for the last episode, but just kills any decent way of ending a trilogy. It has some great scenes imo, but are ruined by not being represented in the last one.

TROS: See before. It felt like they kind of just had to wing it since there wasn't much left to cover.

Uh, yeah, that's the general time progression of the illness if you're just naturally letting it pass. The shitty part lasts more than a few days, but you still feel bad for weeks afterwards. Hydroxychloroquine had nothing to do with it.

The hydroxychloroquine "miracle cure" hype is still dangerous since it's found in some really toxic shit that could (and already has) kill someone quicker than Covid would. It's not a cure, it's being researched as a possible component of a vaccine.

Like in Stranger Things. The majority of characters should either have business up front; party in the back (mustache also complimentary), or a massive perm that looked like a half a can of hair spray was used.

I know it looks ridiculous, but that's what I remember most teens to 40-year-olds looked like.
